Eden is one of my favorite characters, and also one I can least make up my mind on. At the start, the idea of Eden was just an idea.. A legend of sorts. I wasn't even sure if he was going to be a real person, or some sort of collective name used by a group. I really liked the idea though of an almost godlike figure, who's name was scattered almost every planet.. Written and depicted in history books, both in positive and negative lights. It had to be a cat! I considered all sorts of ideas, from a fourth dimentional being, some kind of angel or protecter, but one day while I was day dreaming I had the idea of it being.. A guy. Having blown himself into another galaxy devoid of life, having the opporotunity of a canvas of sorts. To plant the seeds of life on so many planets, and give them the seeds of information to grow into bustling planets, then cryofreeze yourself to see what happens.. It's reckless! And facinating.. It's only human. But what happened to him after the fact was another question I needed to answer. Why would he be missing? Wouldn't everyone be keeping tabs on him, or at least where he went? From there, my mind brainstormed into a deeper, darker fate wrapped in mystery.. And it's why he's one of my favorites.

Age is one of the first things that comes to mind when designing a character, and for Eden he has a.. Unique situation to say the least. Someone who'd discovered a forbidden secret to immortality would naturally be lush, wrinkless to the point of being almost eerie. His hair is long, though contained and messily cut by his own hands. His eyes are cloudy, fogged to the point of being pupiless despite being capable of perfect vision. It's both storytelling of just how long he's lived as well as representative of the eyes he sees out of are far from that of an ordinary human. As for his catlike features, it is a little cliche, but I reckon its fitting.. Cats have always seem to held cursed secrets of the cosmos in my opinion. I imagine my characters a lot more vividly then I can draw them.. But I always try to include important details and consistency in the sketches. Characters who are shocked or drugged always have wide eyes, normally temporarily. But Edens eyes are wide in a different way.

Eden is from a more scifi esque world called Moscow Alpha. It basically revolves around the far future descendants of slavic humans. Specifically, the adventures of a brother and sister in a strange interconnected galaxy system, far from the desolute depths of space they're used to in their old universe.
